Vasey RSL Care Bundoora is home to 90 residents in our Lavender, Blue and Green Houses.

Our Bundoora aged care home is close to the Mount Cooper Estate with easy access from Plenty Valley Highway.

All on one level, the home is designed so that all rooms have views to the well-kept gardens and courtyards.

Our small Memory Support Unit provides a safe and happy environment for residents with cognitive impairment.

Option 1 - Refundable Accommodation Deposit (RAD)

Some people prefer  to pay a Refundable Accommodation Deposit (RAD) as a lump sum amount. Note that interest is payable at a rate set by government from the day of arrival until the RAD is paid in full.)

Option 2 - Daily Accommodation Payment (DAP)

Some people choose to pay a Daily Accommodation Payment (DAP) which accrues daily and is paid periodically. The DAP is calculated based on the entry price and interest rate set by government.

Option 3 - Combination Payment

Some people like a combination of both the above options – paying a part Refundable Accommodation Deposit (RAD) and a lower Daily Accommodation Payment (DAP).

Basic Daily Fee

Details

The Basic Daily Fee pays for day-to-day services including meals, cleaning, laundry and facility management. All residents ae required to pay this fee, no matter which aged care home you choose. It is billed monthly in advance.

 

The fee is set by Government at 85% of the single person rate of the basic age pension in accordance with the Aged Care Act 1997, at 20 March and 20 September each year in line with changes to the age pension.

Higher Everyday Living Fee (optional)

Details

This is an optional fee for  people who choose to receive higher quality everyday living services.

 

It can be charged for services that are of a higher quality or in addition to those your aged care home must provide. The specific services, and the fees for each, are agreed between you and your provider after you enter care.

 

These services are not subsidised by Government.

 

Residents who have been assessed as ‘Fully Supported’ by the Government, pay a reduced daily fee of $9.95 per day.

Non Clinical Care Contribution (NCCC)

Details

The Non Clinical Care contribution is a contribution towards the cost of your personal and non clinical care and is charged from your date of arrival.

 

People who need to pay the maximum hotelling contribution may also need to pay a non-clinical care contribution. This fee contributes to personal care costs such as bathing and mobility assistance. Services Australia will tell you if you need to pay a non-clinical care contribution and if so, how much you need to pay. This is based on your means assessment. The maximum amount changes with indexation in March and September. Daily and lifetime caps apply.

 

Not everyone will have to pay this fee. There are also annual and lifetime caps on the Means-tested Care Fee.

Details

People who can afford to will contribute more towards their daily living costs through a hotelling contribution.

 

Services Australia will tell you if you need to pay a hotelling contribution and if so, how much you need to pay. This is based on your means assessment. The maximum amount changes with indexation in March and September.
