A Home Care Package is for people aged 65 or over and is based on an assessment of your needs made by the Aged Care Assessment Team (ACAT). Their assessment will determine whether you will receive home care funding, and if so, which level funding it will be – Level 1, 2, 3 or 4.
You can check your eligibility and register on the government’s My Aged Care website.. My Aged Care will ask you questions to understand your needs and care arrangements. They may then arrange for a trained assessor to visit you at home to discuss your support needs.
Once you have registered, the Department will put you on a waitlist until your funding Package is approved. Once approved, our staff will be able to set up the services you need.
