Vasey RSL Care is an approved provider of the government's Home Care Packages, and the Department of Veterans' Affairs (DVA) Veterans’ Home Care (VHC).
The Home Care Package Program is a Government-funded program, providing funding for care in your own home, for those who are eligible.
Funding is based on an assessment of your needs, made by the aged Care Assessment Team (ACAT). This assessment determines what level of funding you will receive – from level 1 (lowest) to 4.
Our experienced and caring staff will meet with you to understand your needs. They will help you design your Personal Care Plan, determining which services are most helpful to you.
Level 1 Example:
Stan is an 83-year-old single man who is still driving and active in the community. However, he has become aware of increased risk in undertaking some tasks around the home and feels he needs assistance.
Level 2 Example:
Leo is a 74-year-old veteran, married to Ellen. Leo loves bowling but some recent health issues have stopped him taking part. His Home Care Package services are focused on getting him back to health.
Level 3 Example:
Joyce is a 92-year-old war widow who lives alone. Her family say she is young at heart, but they are concerned about her as they live a few hours away.
Level 4 Example:
Peggy is 85 and a widow and, despite her high care needs, she is determined to stay in her own home. She has had recent eye surgery and needs extra assistance at the moment.
Spending quality time with our loved ones is an important goal for us all.
