We value and recognise the unique contribution of each member of our workforce, who consistently deliver high quality, compassionate and personalised care.

That’s why we focus on creating an inclusive, supportive culture and help our team members build the careers they want.

Our commitment to employing veterans

Supporting ex-service men and women (military veterans) is at the core of the work we do. Vasey RSL Care carries this mission into its employment practices as well.

We understand the needs of veterans and create a supportive environment for the ex-service community members in our team.

Our ex-service staff bring their lived experience and knowledge to their roles and share it with other team members. This is highly beneficial in broadening our organisation’s understanding of what it means to serve and what that might mean for those in our care.

If you are a veteran or a veteran’s family member who is looking for a role that benefits from your lived experience, please review our advertised roles or reach out to us at

Vasey RSL Care has signed the Veterans’ Employment Commitment to demonstrate our support for employing ex-service men and women.

Meet our staff

General Manager
Veteran Services

“Vasey RSL Care is a very supportive work environment that ‘Serves Those Who Served’ – it gives me a lot of job satisfaction working here and seeing that the organisation honours and respects veterans of all ages – whether it’s younger veterans coming into our ex-service accommodation, or older veterans needing home care or residential care. For me, it’s also an opportunity to use the skills I gained in the Army and put them to good use.

“If you’re a veteran and looking for rewarding employment, this is a great place to work – I recommend it.”

Facility Care Coordinator
Vasey Brighton East

“I genuinely love working here. It’s a source of pride for me to work for a company that prioritises both its employees and the quality of care we provide to our elderly residents, making every day here a rewarding experience.”

Enrolled Nurse Team Leader
Vasey Bundoora

“I have achieved a feeling of continued service to my community through caring for fellow veterans and their families. I love the interactions I am able to have with the older veterans and the different stories that we can share about our time in the forces.”

Lifestyle Coordinator
Vasey Frankston South

“By supporting our veteran community, every day [is an] opportunity to make someone’s life better and have a positive impact on their wellbeing. The work I do at Vasey RSL Care motivates me to go above and beyond. I love what I do, and my hard work never goes unnoticed!”

Veteran Support Coordinator
Veteran Services

“My previous service in the Army gives me a level of insight and understanding that is critical in a support role with veterans.”

Project Manager Property and Contracts

“To me this is a dream job, doing what I do best, for those that mean so much to me and our country. It is wonderful to have arrived at the organisation at a time when the new V Centre is to be built at Ivanhoe as a transitional facility for veterans, including some of our younger ones, and to assist them to find their way back into society. The work here never finishes”.

Payroll Officer

“I joined Vasey RSL Care in 2023, and I have really enjoyed working for the company. There is always encouragement to progress, to learn and to evolve. My career at Vasey RSL Care began as a Senior Admin Officer and with prior experience in payroll, I had the opportunity to progress into the finance team. We are supported in diversifying our roles, enhancing our skills and work as a team through the exchange of responsibilities. I am immensely proud and humbled to be part of such an incredible team and I would recommend Vasey RSL Care to others.”

Residential Manager Vasey RSL Care Bundoora

“Vasey RSL Care is a unique organisation that truly cares. The organisation encourages career development and great opportunities for staff, and this in turn helps to ensure our residents have qualified and competent staff to support their choices and care needs.

“In the nine years I have worked for Vasey RSL Care, the one thing which really stands out is how our staff are really committed and care about their role. Staff are always doing their best to make a positive difference to our residents.”
