Vasey RSL Care Brighton is home to just 40 residents, providing a cosy community.
Our Brighton aged care home is at the corner of North Road and Cochrane Street with the entry around the corner in Downes Avenue.
This is a lovely quiet location, just 1 km from the beach.
Our aged care home is located adjacent to the beautiful Kamesburgh Gardens and adjacent to the ‘Star of the Sea’ college. Residents can take advantage of the paths around the home and throughout the Kamesburgh gardens.
An internal courtyard is perfect for barbecue lunches and has container gardens cared for by those residents who enjoy gardening.
This is a lovely place to call home – we invite you to come and have a visit and see for yourself!

Basic Daily Fee

The Basic Daily Fee pays for day-to-day services including meals, cleaning, laundry and facility management. All residents ae required to pay this fee, no matter which aged care home you choose. It is billed monthly in advance.
The fee is set by Government at 85% of the single person rate of the basic age pension in accordance with the Aged Care Act 1997, at 20 March and 20 September each year in line with changes to the age pension.
Additional Services Daily Fee

The Additional Services Daily Fee pays for the amenities, additional choices and services that go beyond the minimum care and service requirements.
These services are not subsidised by Government.
Respite residents and permanent residents who have been assessed as ‘Fully Supported’ by the Government, pay a reduced daily fee of $6.95 per day.

Means-Tested Care Fee

Means Tested
The Means-tested Care Fee goes towards your personal and clinical care. It is charged from your date of arrival.
The amount you pay is determined by Services Australia (formerly the Department of Human Services), based on an assessment of your income and assets.
Not everyone will have to pay this fee. There are also annual and lifetime caps on the Means-tested Care Fee.
