Support military veterans at the V Centre

The V Centre – you can help make a tangible difference

“True Strength is the Courage to Ask for Help”

This quotation from Simon Sinek sums up what The V Centre Veteran Empowerment Program is all about.

It’s hard to ask for help. Taking this first step is the hardest thing V Centre participants will have to do. After that, they will be supported every step of the way.

Not just by us – but we hope, by you as well.

So today, we are practicing what we preach – we’re asking for your help.

We’re asking you – if you’re in a position to do so – to put your hand in your pocket and help us jump our first hurdle: having everything we need to support our first participants as they begin this life-changing Program.

Will you help make a tangible difference in the lives of these veterans who have given so much to our country?

The V Centre Gift Registry

There are some key communal items we need for the V Centre to make it a home for the veterans taking part in the Program.

We are asking for your help – and to make this as easy as possible, we have set up a Gift Registry where you can directly contribute any amount you like towards the practical items needed. No contribution is too small. Every dollar helps.

You can contribute towards any item or to the ‘Wishing Well’, or you can purchase an item outright. With this last option, you can have this delivered for you – or you can pick up your gift and deliver it personally at our special Supporter Morning Tea on Friday 1 March. We would love to see you there and offer you a short tour of the Centre over a cuppa.

The total of all these items is roughly $10,000. Please help us get there by 1 March:

More about The V Centre

For many of our Program participants, empowerment will start with small steps, such as self-care, or learning about healthy food preparation. Having the right tools is crucial in any task, whether it’s cooking a meal or embarking on a new hobby.

Just as Wedding Gift Registries help couples start their new life together, the V Centre Gift Registry will help our veterans start the next stage of their lives, with the things they need.

But it’s more than the physical items: this is about giving these men and women the means to regain their independence, their confidence and their pride.

Each item on the Gift Registry has been selected to help in this journey of empowerment.

By contributing to the Gift Registry, you’re not just giving a gift: you are part of a new and innovative Program empowering these veterans.

Please Share This Message

Can you share this among your networks, or with friends and family, and help spread the word about the work of the V Centre Veteran Empowerment Program and the help needed?

Note: Our Gift Registry is designed for individual donors. If your organisation, business or group would like to support the V Centre Veteran Empowerment Program, please get in touch, as we are setting up a Corporate Sponsorship Program and we would love to have your involvement.

We are very grateful for the continued support and generosity of this wonderful community. Together, we can make a significant impact on the lives of these men and women.

Thank you for being on this journey with us.
