Homelessness Week this year, 5 to 11 August, draws our attention to the growing issue of homelessness: it aims to build community support and government commitment to end this issue.

Again this year, Vasey RSL Care’s Executive Management Team (EMT) provided support to ‘Mitcham Community Meal’, a weekly meal for people in need.

EMT members got together with Central Office staff, to bake chocolate hedgehog slice: this was delivered to Mitcham by Senior Executive Officer, Tamara Paton and General Manager Veteran Services, Chris Gray for the Meal on 4 August.

“This is a small way that we can give practical help, but more importantly, it reminds us of all the people living on our doorstep who are doing it tough,” says CEO, Janna Voloshin.
