Lifestyle Coordinator, Ruwan, had a chat with Geoff and found out that his interest in model railways goes all the way back to 1947 when he visited the Seymour train engine workshop: “Uncle Jim was a train driver,” Geoff tells us, and that inspired his lifelong love of railways.

Geoff owned his first model railway only about twenty yeas ago, when he and his son had the opportunity to put one together.

For railway lovers out there, Geoff’s model railway is G Gauge, and he has plans to extend the line a little and keep improving it.

“It reminds me of travelling around the countryside when I was young, he says. “It’s a good feeling to see the train running up and down the tracks. I hope my fellow residents, staff and visitors enjoy it too.”
