We congratulate Chris Gray, Executive General Manager Veteran Services, on his recent appointment to the position of Committee Member on the Austin Health Community Advisory Board.

This Board provides advice to the Austin Health Board on matters relating to consumers, carers and the community.

Chris succeeds Don Hughes, pictured here with Chris (right), in this pivotal role on the Community Advisory Committee, drawing from lived experience within the Veteran community. Both Chris and Don have extensive overseas military service combined with more recent exposure and involvement in the Veteran community.

Austin Health is one of Victoria’s largest health care providers with the Austin Hospital, Heidelberg Repatriation Hospital (adjoining the V Centre Veteran Empowerment Program), Royal Talbot Rehabilitation, Hospital in the Home, and community-based health services. The Heidelberg Repatriation Hospital, has provided exceptional care for servicemen and women.

In this role, Chris will be able to use his extensive experience in supporting the veteran community to provide advice to assist Austin Health’s work in supporting the Veteran community.
