Thank you Sew Far Sew Good
We were delighted to receive a donation from the ‘Sew Far Sew Good’ sewing group that regularly meets at the Vasey RSL Care Ex-Service Accommodation community hall at Croydon.
The group does has previously provided wheat bags for ESA residents among other things.
This is a great use of the community hall, bringing people together over a shared passion.
The donation will go to support the work of the V Centre. Thank you Sew Far Sew Good!
Mt Evelyn RSL Sub-branch Support
A big thank you to the Mount Evelyn RSL Sub-branch for their donation to the V Centre Veteran Empowerment Program.
“Our small sub-branch is delighted to donate to your worthy organisation,” wrote President, Matt Crymble.
We look forward to having members of the committee drop in for a visit to the V Centre to see how their funding goes to help veterans struggling with homelessness and related causes in the near future.
Ringwood RSL Women’s Auxiliary
We recently received a generous donation from the Ringwood RSL Women’s Auxiliary and would like to express our sincere thanks for their support.
This is the third year that the Council has funded the personal care packs that go into participants’ rooms at for their arrival at the V Centre.
Veteran Empowerment Program Manager, Karen Rowlinson, was invited to the RSL Women’s Council meeting to receive a cheque from State Secretary for Victoria, Lynese Goldie OAM.
Thank you to this group for their continuing support and care for veterans.
RSL Women’s Council Donation
The RSL Women’s Council Victoria recently agreed at its AGM to support the V Centre Veteran Empowerment Program with a donation of $5,250.
Vasey RSL Care CEO Janna Voloshin said, “We are extremely grateful for the support of the Women’s Council and the broader Women’s Auxiliary. Their support will help purchase essential items for veterans moving into the Veteran Empowerment Program, assisting them as they begin the next chapter of their lives.”
Program Manager Karen Rowlinson added, “The donation will directly assist veterans transitioning into safe, supported accommodation at the V Centre.”
Thank you to State President Cheryl Congram, Vice President Heather Triffitt and assistant secretary Leoni Hutcheson for taking the time to visit the V Centre (pictured right, with Chris Gray).
