The organisation’s Annual General Meeting took place yesterday at the Box Hill RSL Sub-branch.

Board members: front from left – Lucy, Michele, Vanda. Rear from left: Tony, Mike, Tracey.
Chair of the Board, Mike O’Meara OAM chaired the meeting and reported on a very busy year across all aspects of the business: he noted the mix of challenges and opportunities, the achievements made, the passion of the Board, the commitment of the Executive Leadership Team and staff, the support of the Company Members and the Vasey RSL Care community, and thanked everyone for their belief in the Mission.
CEO Janna Voloshin mentioned some of the highlights of the year including 21 residents who had reached 100+ years of age, the commencement of our Strategic Plan 2025-30, and the outcomes of the advocacy work over the past three years.
Board Treasurer, Tracey Bannan, presented the Financial Report and reported on a strong financial year. This was due to a number of factors, including residential services returning to pre-COVID conditions, changes to the government funding models and improving grant and funding results.
We are delighted to report that the three directors whose three-year terms were expiring were all returned to the Board, so there are no changes to the Board membership for the coming year.
A resolution to accept external recommendations to add one additional Director to the Board and to increase the financial pool to cover this was passed by members.
