9 October 2017
‘Physical Activity’ is the theme for Veterans’ Health Week 2017.
The health and wellbeing of our veteran and war widow population is highlighted during the annual Veterans’ Health Week, an initiative of the Department of Veterans’ Affairs (DVA). DVA supports ex-service organisations to run events and activities right around Australia from 21 to 29 October.
This is the third year that Vasey RSL Care has been involved in VHW and for the first time this year, we have got joined forces with RSL Sub-branches.
With ‘Physical Activity’ being this year’s theme, we are providing sessions to encourage activity – but making it enjoyable! Whilst getting heaps of physical benefit from this session, you will find it fun and sociable and at the end, you will be surprised how much you enjoyed it.
The sessions will be held by Roman Kouzmenko (pictured right) – who some of you may remember from last year. Roman is highly qualified and a fabulous teacher who connects with people and ensures that they get the most out of the session.
Veterans’ Health Week (VHW) activities are open to all war widows and all those who have served in the Australian and allied forces. Our events are from Monday 23 October to Friday 27 October and are completely FREE OF CHARGE – but places are limited so you must register.
