We are delighted to welcome Amy Scott as our Keynote Speaker at this year’s conference.
With the theme ‘Unique You. Unique Me.’, the conference will be exploring our individuality and the unique contribution that each one of us makes to our community.
“In today’s digital world we are under more pressure than ever before to be ‘connected’ or to have the ability to connect with absolutely anyone as quickly as possible. To do this, we must have an understanding of our own communication style and the communication styles of the people around us, whilst retaining our uniqueness,” says Amy. “Throw in some courage and you’ll get connected!” she promises.
The Saluting Excellence Staff Conference 2019 will be taking place on Wednesday 23 October at Leonda by the Yarra in Hawthorn and is by invitation-only.
“This is our opportunity to recognise those staff who go beyond their Position Description and truly embody Our Purpose of ‘Serving Those Who Served’,” says Janna Voloshin, CEO. “We are very lucky to have the staff we have and this annual event is an important day for our organisation to acknowledge and reward them.”
The annual staff Saluting Excellence Awards will be presented throughout the day, interleaved with staff presentations on new programs being initiated at Vasey RSL Care.
“The day would not be possible without our sponsors,” says Janna. “We have strong and valued working relationships with many suppliers who support this event – we are very grateful to them.”
Note: sponsorship now closed
Introducing our dynamic presenter Amy Scott!
Passionate about helping improve the real connection of people, families, businesses, organisations, teams, workplaces and communities everywhere, Amy Scott says “It’s not rocket science – it is simply learning how not to rub people up the wrong way!”
Amy is a proud born and bred rural Central Otago girl and whilst she’s represented New Zealand in ice hockey, she’s still not allowed to drive tractors!
Amy studied law and following a career as a practicing lawyer, she changed direction and has had over 12 years experience as a speaker, facilitator, trainer and mentor. She is a recognised ‘people expert’ and offers a fresh approach to helping people be their best selves, and get the best out of the people around them.
We hear that Amy is full of energy and we are looking forward to a fast paced, engaging and entertaining keynote presentation that will leave us eager to try out all that we have learned.
