Flu Vaccines Required for all Visitors from 1 May 2020

As communicated on 2 April 2020, in accordance with government requirements, starting on 1 May 2020, everyone entering a residential aged care home must provide proof of an up-to-date flu vaccination.

As a visitor, in order to gain access to the aged care home, you must provide proof of vaccination in one of the ways below:

• Letter/Certificate from GP/pharmacist: a letter or a certificate from a doctor or pharmacist which shows your name and the date of your flu vaccination.
• Invoice: an invoice from a doctor or pharmacist which shows your name and clearly shows that the payment was for flu vaccination.
• Medicare Online: a screenshot, photograph or print-out of your Medicare online immunisation history showing you have received the flu vaccination and the date you received it.
• Letter/Certificate from employer: a letter or certificate from your employer or a commercial vaccination provider engaged by your employer to provide flu vaccination, showing your name and the date of your flu vaccination.

You will only need to provide proof once. We will record proof of vaccination and store this information confidentially.
