The organisation’s Annual General Meeting took place at ANZAC House yesterday.
Board Chair, David Paroissien OAM FCPA AGIA (pictured right), chaired the meeting, which began with a moment of reflection to remember all those who have lost their lives serving their country.
CEO, Janna Voloshin (pictured below right), reported on the work of the organisation throughout the 2018-2019 financial year. Janna began by reiterating Our Purpose – Serving Those Who Served, and went on to talk about the many regulatory changes that occurred this year – new Standards, Charter of Aged Care Rights, and Voluntary Assisted Dying Legislation, as well as the Royal Commission into Aged Care Quality and Safety.
Janna went on to talk about the changing demographics and needs of the ex-service community and how this affects strategic planning.
She finished by thanking the Executive Management Team and Board Members for their commitment to our community.
Board Treasurer, John Cullen OAM, reported on the financial position of the organisation and highlighted some of the changes that have occurred.
David Paroissien reported that director, Tony Carr, had been reappointed for a further 3 year period and two new board members who had filled vacancies during the year, Vanda Fortunato and Victor Hamit, were formally elected to the board.
