Vasey RSL Care Ivanhoe is adjacent to the Austin Repatriation Hospital set among mature gum trees and private gardens.

Resident Focus

Our Ivanhoe home offers a warm and welcoming environment with a homely feel. In addition to the central spacious dining room, there are a number of comfortable sitting rooms with cosy fireplaces, around the home, where residents can relax or meet with friends and family.

Our staff respect the residents’ individual choices and provide flexibility in care and lifestyle.

Meaning & Purpose

The Lifestyle Team ensures that many varied activities are available to residents who wish to take part. These include walking groups, an art program, dance program, computer lessons and regular trips to local attractions and restaurants.

Each month, a joint lunch is organised for residents of our Ivanhoe and Bundoora homes, for an opportunity to meet up and have some social time with others, and visit a restaurant in the area. Events are organised to mark important occasions such as ANZAC Day and Remembrance Day, and to celebrate Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Christmas, Easter and so on. 

It is important for all residents to continue to take part in activities that they enjoy, and our staff are there to assist them in ensuring that they continue to have meaning and purpose in their lives.

Memory Support

Our Memory Support Unit provides a high level of care and the latest care practices for individuals living with dementia, and ensuring residents experience a safe, secure and happy environment.
